vp44....

Well i guess im gonna get stuck doing a vp44 before i get to do my tranny swap...the last few days when i start it a bunch of white smoke shoots out before the black....so i guess that means its going out huh? when i do have to fix it.....do i want to just go to dodge and get one? or is there an aftermarket version that i should get?? and is this sumthing i can do myself. or am i going to have to have a shop do it??

White smoke can also be antifreeze, maybe you have a seep in your headgasket.

Yup probly head gasket because as it cools and sits the coolant seeps into the cylinder and then burnt when you start it.
