Just make sure the VP is new, the Reman's are a luck of the draw. Don't settle for anything less than a year warranty either.

That's a good price on both... assuming it includes S+H, Tax etc.
To best of my knowledge there are no more new VP-44's. They are all remanufactured.

Blue Chip sells both new and Remaned. You will of course have to pay dear for the new, but being new with the 1 year warranty, regardless of mods to me still makes it a good buy. It's a sure thing thing.

They're all remanufactured. To the best of my knowledge, even the one I had relplaced under warranty at the dealer.

There must be some new ones out there somewhere, but they are no longer being mfg. by Bosch (03 and newer used different pumps).
I think you will find Blue Chips "New" is remanufactured with all new (and Fed Ex) parts.
All VP-44's being remfg now have the same electronics as the FED EX calls for, according to one Bosch approved service center..

Not regardless of mods! 1 yr warranty is NOT good if you tap the wire with a fueling box! That's what I was told.

Acording to The owner of Blue Chip the warranty is good even with the wire pierced, he sold me the pump cover to peirce the wire with. He has pumps that are listed as reman's and he also has different pumps that are sold as new, both available with the optional advanced electronics.

Good info...thanks. First I've heard of 1 yr being honored if wire is pierced. Wonder if that is Blue Chip honoring it. Bosch told me they won't?

All the better reman pumps have a 1 year warranty, they all will warrant the pump with the wire pierced!! none will warrant the electronics with the wire pierced!! Got it!! yes on pump, no on electronics. Guess what most failures on the remans are electronic!!
Get a pump from a reputable rebuilder, such as Industrial Injection! don't be afraid to ask who rebuilds the pump you are buying. Industrial Injection makes a very good High Performance VP-44. I recommend it!!
