If the video quality is changed, as in a smaller frame size, it will reduce the amount of memory the file takes. When played back, you can opt for full screen mode to see it better, but the clarity will be a bit off. Not so bad that you can't see everything being done. I know windows movie maker asks how to save as to what it is to be used for (ie. dvd, pc movie, internet broadcast, etc), as i'm sure other video softwares do as well.

Yeah.....it did...and i didnt go top dog but i didnt do cell phone quality either! haha....

On "The Tube"...the issue is length...its over 10 mins...dont know why that is an issue...but it is i guess...so i need to make it a 2 parter (Like i did for the #3 vid but i still had the edit copies)...but i dont have the ability (OR time to figure out if I do or not i guess) or software to cut a finalized vid in half to post up.

Go there and search for VP-44 install and it should pop. I have about 4 and FFmike has the other 2 i was haveing issue with finding on my comp.

I wasn't going to perform this install until i seen these vid's. These videos saved me 100.00$, and bought me 180.00 worth of tools that i "needed". (As far as my wife knows.)

Great video! Swapped my VP44 out last night with no problems, in approximately 2.5 hrs and this was the first one I have ever done. One thing I would add is you don't have to completely remove the 3 fuel lines on the injector pump that are closest to the engine block. Just disconnect them at the injector pump and move them out of the way towards the engine block as you pull the injector out. Saves lots of time instead of having to fight getting the lines loose at the injectors up under the firewall.

Okay...here it is 5 months after the last reply, but I just have to put my sentiments in! Dan, you are THE MAN!!!! I was ready to send my truck to the shop ($1900 estimate) for the VP44 replacement, but I have ordered a pump and will do it myself. Never would have tried that with just a service manual.

I changed the VP44 this weekend without a problem! Codes went away after driving for a while (P1693 and P1691). Funny thing, Advance Auto Parts scanner couldn't see the codes or clear them??? After two attempts to clear with scanner they still showed on the odometer. Finally, after driving to work this morning (porbably a total of about 20 miles on the new VP44) the codes are gone.
