Vibration from motor?

I just got back from a 650 mile trip and noticed on the first 325 miles anywhere above 2000rpm the motor has a steady vibration. Its not quick it hits every second. On the trip back the last 60 miles it was hitting anywhere above 1500rpm. Its not the tires there brand new, and when the vibration starts if I push in the clutch let off the pedal it's not there. It's not a knocking, it dosen't affect performance but it seems to be something that needs to be addressed. Any help would be much appreciated?

are you sure its the engine? sometimes when a u-joint is going out you'll feel this vibration. after a short drive 3 or 4 miles slide under the truck and feel both u-joints if one is just beginning to go out it'll be rather warm to the touch

I will check it out. It seemed to still have the vibration at 2000rpm in neutral.

The truck was moving, what I did when I was driving @ 65mph about 2200rpm
the truck starts the vibration. I push in the clutch and let it coast @ idle no vibration. With the clutch still pushed to the floor rev the engine to 2200rpm some vibration not nearly as noticable. Let out the clutch there is the vibration again @ 2200rpm.

I had a vibration between 1800 & 2000 RPM that turned out to be the clutch hub coming apart. The hub came apat and one of the springs came out. I think the initial vibration was when the piece of the plate came off and threw the balance out on the clutch. It probably weighed about as much as 2 quarters. When the spring came out the vibration was worse at idle than at speed.

I know this is probably not the problem but you never know .... I have a 4inch downpipe off my turbo also and after a while having the exhaust it would vibrate only at certain points ..........just another thing to throw in i spose

Another vote for a U joint, I had some extra vibration and it was in fact the rear U joint, I'll be replacing them all tomorrow
