valve cover gasket

2002 2500 4x4
Time to adjust the valves or past time 175,000. Is the gasket reusable or do I need a new one($123.00).

You won't really know until you pull the cover, if its cooked, cracked or broken, replace it.

I have had my valve cover off 3 times now, once for injectors and twice to adjust the valves over the years. It hasnt started to leak yet. Just be careful not to tear it on the valvetrain if its stuck to the bottom on the cover and not the head.

You should be fine as long as it's not knicked or torn. Genosgarage.com has them for way less than you listed. Good luck.
