Broke the spined end of the front of the main shaft. It appears as though it has been cracked about 2/3 the way through the diameter for a while. The metal is quite a bit darker than the area that clearly broke. I will eventually post the pictures.

They installed a new fully splined main shaft and and went through the rest of the tranny.
