Gonna need a pic! Had the truck long? Previous owner have guages? Fuel lines should go straight from the filter to the injection pump.

That "block" is your VP-44 injection pump. That does look like a fuel pressure sending unit of some type. Maybe the previous owner had a gauge ay one time or another?

Definitely from a gauge. Find out what it was and order a new display. Voila, instant fuel pressure gauge!

Smile Low fuel pressure sensor

I also found this part after I purchased my truck, I later found a bag under the front seat with the installation instructions for a low fuel pressure warning light ( if fuel pressure drops below 5 psi. light comes on). I then realized that the small red light on my drivers side windshield post wasn't part of the security system but was for the low pressure switch. I looked closer under the hood by the fire wall and "voila" I found a very small guage wire that had broken off the connector on this switch you have. I replaced the wire with some heavier guage thermal wire and wire ties, and this red light has come on(flickered) after a long drive. I picked up some replacement cartridges for my fuel filter housing and replaced the filter as it was very dirty. This seems to have helped the low pressure problem to the injector pump from the lift pump. Though I am still going to replace the lift pump as a precaution, just haven't decided on which one. I am leaning towards a belt driven type.

I think you have a winner on that one. I really didn't even think about, but most electric fuel pressure senders are bigger and have two wires coming from it. So maybe the low pressure light is the winner.

think you are correct, i got a alarm light on the dash and no aftermarket alarm, as you can see in the pic there is a butt connector on the sender just no wire, i will have to look into this more tommorow thanks

If that is what it is, hook one wire from the sensor to the led, and the other lead on the led to a 12 volt source. Then you'll be good to good.
