twin fuel pump

so i was think about puttin 2 fuel pumps on the truck and figured i should just save up for like an airdog or FASS, and i was browsing ebay for injectors and other stuff i cant afford right now, and i came across this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Dodge...em330219666308

what is the opinion on a set up like this with the 2 airtex pumps?? i have one installed and i have 2 new ones sitting under the back seat, is this worth while you guys think. my lp now is at about 18idle and 5-6 with adrenaline on 10. so i dont know how this person is saying regualted at 15psi. basiclly i'm askin if you guys think this is a function set up that i should consider running seeing as i have the stuff to make it i would use a relay power setup. oh and do you guys think it would last?? thanks

Brad

What do you have on there now? Two lift pumps is not a necessary.

One is all that is needed. Check out the raptor, airdog, fass setups. Raptor and cummins filter heads would be a nice and cheap setup. And the lifetime guarantee is nice to know also.
I have a holley blue setup and i am going to try the raptor setup next i think.

Here is a link to the airdog and raptor pumps and fuel setups.

I have always followed the KISS rule. Keep It Simple Stupid.

One good quality pump is all that anyone really should run. Many have had success with dual pump setups, but it appears to be one more point of failure IMO.

If you are going to go to another system eventually, just wait until you can do it. Then keep one of those pumps as a just in case, but you'll pobably never need it.

I have been hauling the same fuel pump around with me for over 2 years.

I have two fuel pumps piped in, but only one ever runs at a time. It is only an installed stand by. I installed it because I had spare time and because I have "Fear of Failure Syndrome".

I would put in the second one with t's coming off of the fuel line before and after the first pump, and set them both up with ball valves, so that if you get stranded on the road somewhere, you can flip the valve open on the good one, closed on the other, and switch power to the good one so your up and running in under 5 minutes, trying to repair something on the side of the road is dangerous and much harder than doing it in your driveway, partly because your frustrated you broke down in the first place.

I don't run a 24V, so I don't have to worry about it, but if I ever decide to use the 99 as a DD, thats what I would be doing.
