TV Cable Adjustment Instructions

I've been searching for about an hour looking for an in-depth set of instructions on how to properly adjust the TV cable. The best thing I've found so far is this thread. I have the black cover off of the APPS and I've located the cable. I just wanna be sure I do the adjustment CORRECTLY. If there's a detailed set of instructions floating about, could someone please post here or PM me? Thanks.

It's not rocket science, just release the plastic clip and have someone push the throttle to the floor and pull the cable back to get all the slack out and push the clip in. Should shift around 2000 rpm under light throttle to 3200 at wot.

Is this an auto trans question? I was about to suggest you try calling the cable guy

I realize that this isn't rocket science but I've never performed this adjustment before and +/-1mm seems to be a pretty tight range. Like I said, I just wanna be sure I do this right the first time without breaking any stupid plastic pieces along the way. My Chilton manual is somewhat lacking on this subject IMO. Again, any detailed help is much appreciated.

Just be very careful with the plastic clip, it hooks on the top and bottem, I just use my fingernail to pop the hooks. It's not that sensitive, just make sure you have full tv with full throttle. If you don't like the way it shifts you can back it off a notch at a time till it suits you.

Had to replace brake calipers recently and while I was already dirty, I went ahead and adjusted the TPS/TVL. I "googled" the subject and found a pretty good write-up on the how-to's here. These instructions are for a gasser but the principles are the same. Much better shifts - a little higher in the RPM (where they should be) and not nearly as mushy between the shifts. Can't wait to pull the TT again in the spring.

Thought these instructions might help other folks out there who are also rookies on this adjustment.
