Question Is this true

Hi,
I have been reading a lot on this site and something dosen't make sence. My truck in the sig has just about 138,000KM (85,000 miles), and Dodge said the warrenty is gone. It expires at 5 years or 100,000KM, which ever comes first. Now this is in Canada. I keep reading on this site from US members that there warrenty is good for 100,000 Miles. (100,000 miles=169,000KM) Is this true? should I go south of the boarder because my warrenty is still good there. I just got gauges for christmass and the fuel pressure is 12psi idle 7psi highway and 4psi WOT. And if I take it to Dodge here they will just say sorry no warrenty.
P.S. This is the standerd warrenty as far as I know

the warranty on the Cummins engine is for 5 years or 100,000 miles... sounds like you are still in the Cummins warranty so you should be fine for lift pump or injection pump work...

the truck was probably only warrantied for 3 years or 36,000 miles....

You need to find a different dealer (or give the one you went to a swift kick)....Im sure that the engine (including lift pump and injector pump) is covered for 5 years/160 kms. Warrantys are NOT transferrable across the border.

Call a couple of other dealers, give them your VIN and see what they say.

Where do you live?

I live in Vancouver B.C Canada. I talked to one dealer on the phone, and they said they don't know if there is a diffrence south of the border. They did say my warrenty is done, all that is coverd is the engine. That means "nothing bolted to the engine" as he said like "lift pump injector pump ect"...The powertrain warrenty expired at 100,000km.

nope.....they are WRONG....would be nice if the dealers had a CLUE.....Lift Pump and Injector pump ARE covered under engine warranty.

Is the warranty only for original owner? Any second owners get warranty work?

warranty follows the vehicle, not the owner...
