Ok my truck was having troulble starting because both of the positive battery terminals were really worn out..so i went to Oriely's and bought two new terminals and put them on very easy thing to do....after i was all done i got in the truck started it right up and then put away the few tools that i had out...while i was putting away the tools my truck shut off...it didnt idle rough and then stall it just shut right off....i get in it crank it and nothing turns over fine wont fire....i then got out my superchips tuner and checked to see if there were any codes...it is pulling p1689 which reads "no communication between ECM and injector pump module"....this is really bad im guessing the pump was changed a little over a year ago and i dont want it to be the pump...some one with some ideas on what to look for and check would really help out

 

not sure if this will help much but check all your connections at the batteries again, the grounds too. if not that maybe a fuse in the box or ground from the box or ecm. . . sounds like a fuse maybe but idk... check wires i guess. . . hope this helps some

well truck sat all night and went out turned the key and it fired right off like nothing ever happened...oh well all better

 

It might be a Microsoft product, you have to shut it down, wait 30 second then reboot... I meant re-start it then works fine for a while....

 

I have the same issue. I have seen lots of info about it being an omen of a bad injection pump.
