Truck misses, still
Truck misses, still
Ok, still having issues, I have a sold 10 psi of fuel at idle, the warm the truck gets the more it seems to miss, tried a new ECT, with no luck, seems also like I have an air leak some were, also sometimes the truck will not start after still like it is loosing its prime, no codes either.
The miss problem sounds like a injector on the nozzle side not the electronic side. The ECM might be telling it to inject fuel but if the nozzle is plugged you won't get a code. The no start sounds like a transfer pump. I had a friend take his 99 dodge to a dealership for almost six months. They replaced everthing on the fuel system, Inj.pump twice, injectors once, ECM twice, finally they replaced a 30.00 transfer pump and the problem went away....
I assume you are talking about the lift pump that is in the tank(atleast mine is). I was thinking about having the injectors tested, anyone know what it cost so I don't have sticker shock.
before you pull the injectors, fix the hard starting issues, and 10psi at idle is nothing what is it when your driving and at WOT?
as for hard starts, try leaving fuel cap loose and or parking nose down hill, if it starts good after this then its almost certainly an air leak allowing the fuel tank vacuum to suck the fuel back to the tank. it can be leaky o-ring connector tubes/ loose fitting/connection at the back of the head, airleaks on the suck side of a lift pump, plugged tank vent/faulty fuel cap.
after you address the hard start, then I'd move on to injectors
