Tuesday, Replaced VP44 w/Midwest Fuel Injection pump.
New rv275 injectors

Heres the question... Today I decided to check for codes,just to be sure everything was OK. Why in the hell did I just pull a P0216 Fuel Injection pump Timing Malfunciton? Truck runs mint! Never had this much power! ***? Did I get a beat pump?

I dont get it! Fuel pressure at 14psi I have the FASS 150 system w/a good fuel pressure guage.

 

Doubt it, but are you sure the codes were cleared after the VP 44 install?

 

Both batteries were disconnected during install.

 

sometimes that wont clear hard codes might need to get a scan tool to clear it. autozone will normally scan/ clear codes for free if you dont have acess to a code reader.

 

Tomorrow I am going to clear the code with my scanner to see if that works.
