Wink transmission for the CTD

I just purchased an 01 CTD and I love it, however after surfing the message boards looking for basic info, I have found several folks have had AT issues. I have 67k miles and she runs/drives great. Can anyone provide input regarding these "issues" and is this an overall weekness in their design or is it more of a maintence (or lack of) problem. This is my first diesel truck.

BTW...I really love your forum.

Hello and welcome, you will find a friendly bunch here. Your tranny should be just fine as long as your truck remains stock. The problems begin as you add horsepower. However, there are a few things to monitor if you wish to keep your truck happy. First and foremost being fuel pressure. I would highly recommend you install a fuel pressure gauge if nothing else.
