My 2002 3500 started shifting funny the other day so I decided to check the codes. I had 4 codes listed P1693, P0216, P1757, P1762. I looked them up and am not sure exactly what to do to remedy the codes ( fix the problems). 0216 injection timing control circuit malfunction, 1757 Gov. pressure above 3 psiwhen requested is 0 PSI, 1762 Overdrive band failed off/Gov pressure sensor off set improper voltage. Do I need to change out the govenor solenoid? rebuild the transmission? The truck will shift ok when I drop the lever into first, but when I go up to second there is no action until I place it into drive then it will shift up to OD. .

 

Replace both the governor transducer and solinoid. Both very common. Easy to do. Drop the pan and filter and 10 minutes your done.
