TPS throutle position sensor ,Cleaning

I read the old post by Pappyman that said that he cleaned his TPS on a 1995 truck.

The sensor looks different on my 24 valve '99 than the picture posted on that thread of a '95 model. Can it be cleaned with some carb cleaner also ?

I have not taken mine off yet , just located it . Heck, I still need to by that $100 service manual first!...

Im trying to fix a in and out of overdrive lockup shifting problem. Just did the APPs Reset today.

Some folks reccomend just keeping it locked out til ya hit 50 or 55 MPH!! The electronics on these models were prolly made in Korea..
