tps location

tps location

where is the tps located. ive read a tech. article about testing and adjusting the tps. i would like to try it to see if it helps with my shifting problems.

On my 12 valve its right on the side of the pump where the throttle lever is. Im not sure where its at on a 24 valve, but my guess would be the exact same place. Ive adjusted mine a few times, and it makes a little difference. Good luck

Are you speaking of the "APPS"? "Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor"?
On my '99, the APPS is under the black cover, on the drivers side, under the hood. According to Cummins, sensor is factory calibrated and requires the whole bracket assembly to be replaced.

If you figure out a way to adjust it, be sure to post the directions. It could save a lot of people a lot of $$$.

The TPS adjustment is for a 12v truck not our 24v models....
