I just puchased a used TPS. Not sure whats involved in putting on. I thought it was simply bolting on and adjusting the cable and stuff but then i heard you actually have to calibrate it or something. Is it something that can be done in the garage or not? thanks guys.

 

Do a search for APPS. Someone on here did a real good write up on how to calibrate it. I recalibrated mine and you will have to meter the voltage on one of the wires on the firewall on the pass. side. You adjust the position of the APPS till the voltage on that wire matches the voltage listed on the back of the sensor.
