Can I replace the torque converter without dropping the tranny? Is there room to slide it back and change in place. Dave and DTT mentioned changing a shift lever as well, but can I change it from the same position?

 

By the time you move enough parts to try to do it that way you will find it just as easy to drop it right out. How many miles? I would replace the front seal while i had it out.
