it locks up and unlocks at will 40 mph and under with OD turnd of help i need to fix this is that the apps going bad?

 

40 mph is when OD is suppose to drop off.

Try turning the OD off until you hit 45-50.

If that doesn't work you'll need to read these threads about cleaning the ground wires.

I had the same problem. Try cleaning all of your battery connections well on both ends of every cable. This includes the ground cables to the engine block. That cleared mine up and only took 30-40 minutes to try. If that doesn't fix it, I would try the noise filter from DTT first. I think it is around $35 and easy to install. The dealer changed my APPS and TPS and neither fixed my lock/unloc problem.
