Tons of White Smoke????

I just installed my TST Comp box and removed the Banks Big Hoss tuner that came on the truck when I bought it. I also turned the Smarty from no timing mode to a timing level to acompany the TST box. The truck ran fine on the test runs.

So I headed out to Phoenix, AZ and about an hour into the drive I noticed a lot of smoke coming out of the exhaust. Pulled off of the freeway and smoked out the entire intersection. The truck is smoking like crazy. I can't tell if it is white smoke or white/blue smoke. Its too dark to tell for sure.

I thought it was the head gasket, but from what I have been reading here on the forum it might be the injectors. The RV275 injectors are fairly new. They were one of the first upgrades I did to the truck.

The truck runs smooth. There is no rough idle. I turned the TST box off and put the Smarty to stock mode and that didn't help any. So I don't think its a timing issue.

I am going to take the truck into a repair shop on Monday. Just thought I would get some of your thoughts before I take it in. Any thoughts?

Notice any coolant loss, or oil in the coolant?? If not, Im gonna say you have an injector problem. However if an injector was that messed up ya think ya might have at least a rough idle???

That what I was thinking. I didn't see any oil in the coolant or vice versa.

The injector pump was replaced about 6000 miles ago. I sure hope this is not failing already.

I have a FASS set up with the water seperator filter. It was installed the same time the Injector Pump was, about 6000 miles ago. I thought those filters were good for a lot longer than that.

ok it probably is my bad ............ i dont think it would be the injectors but have you checked your intake boots underneath the truck sometimes they get cut from rubbing on the side of the fender might be it...........have you seen loss in boost or a hissing noise?

No there was no loss of boost. I can't say I really heard any hissing noise either.
I appreciate the suggestions though. Keep them coming.
I am taking the truck into the shop. I will pass these suggestions onto them to look into them.

does it smoke just sitting there or when you driive? just sitting there i would think that you are sucking air but that would make it run rough i just think that you have water in the fuel not enought to bother performance but enought to smoke i am out of options sorry

It smokes like crazy at idle and up to about 70 mhp it smokes real bad. At seventy it doesn't smoke quite as bad, but still smokes a lot. When I got off of the freeway and stopped at the intersection, I smoked out the entire intersection.

OK, So I took the truck into the shop and found what the problem was. The stock turbo was shot and there is an il leak int the turbo. That is what is causing all of the smoke.
So I just ordered an HTT 71 series 62/14 turbo and a new BD intercooler.
I was planning on getting these anyways, this just makes me do it a little bit sooner.

Was your boost #'s low? I had the sps62 and really liked it. I would call Doug or Olee and get their thoughts on it. The turbos are changing so fast that unless you work with them every day, your out of the loop on them.
