Tire Size

Have 99 Cummings, and I need some new tires. I have bf's 265/75/16 on their right now. I would like to get 285/75/16 fierce attitudes mt. I am just wondering how this truck will react to them ?
Loss of power?
How about towing a 5th wheel camper?

Any helpful insight would be great?
thanks

That's not much of a change. I doubt most people would even notice the change. My old truck had 4.10 gears and I have run 265,285,305,and 315/75/16 for towing I liked the 305's the best. for highway the 315's. I hated the 265's but due to traction so they did not stay on the truck long enough to to really get a chance. I think you will like the added top end as these trucks typically lack top end and they have plenty of low end grunt.

With 3:54 gears I can tell a difference running 285/75/16's taking off from a light and up here I pull alot more in 5th gear and even drop to 4th sometimes too. I do like the added too end though.
