I would take away the lesson that you should leave it in 4x4 all winter....till above freezing. Or at least disconnect 2-low till spring!

I grew up in that kind of weather but after 15 yrs in the south I have to agree with 'High Bid'.
But it does keep you hearty. Now I complain when winter (lows seldom below freezing) lasts into March!
