Testing Front Springs

Does anyone know what the height of the stock springs should be? Im fixing to install a +2 inch lift and I suspect that my springs might be shot too. (170k and still stock shocks, I just bought the truck)

So how can I tell if the front springs are shot?

The 4X4's came from the factory with about 2" of rake downwards towards the front of the truck. Depending on what springs you have it could be anywhere from 2" to about level if it came with the snow plow prep. You can get a build sheet from a dealer that will tell you this and give you the spring #'s if you can't find the paper tags on them. Also very helpful finding out other things about your truck. It should be free. Kurt
