Tank Trash

Does anyone besides me think it sounds a little odd when someone says if get low on fuel you will suck up the trash in the bottom of the tank? Maybe Im way off on this, but my truck is not a chainsaw with a moveable hose inside. I am pretty sure it is always sucking from the bottom of the tank. Help me if Im wrong.

Low amounts of fuel in the tank tend to focus debris close to the pickup; particularly floating debris.

Non-floating debris will always congregate near the pickup...that's where the fuel flow towards!!!!
