T-Case

How much fluid is in the Transfer case? I'm going to change mine out and want to know how much ATF to buy.

Well not sure what t-case you have, but here check out this site:

http://dodgeram.org/tech/specs/tranfer_case.htm

You can check the tag on you t-case to see which one you have.

Keep on keeping on,
Hunter

I thought all the Diesel trucks received the 241HD transfer case.

There are two styles 241 transfer cases used in the Dodges that I know of. there is the dhd and the lhd ( I hope I got that right). One uses a smaller slip yoke ( auto trans application), the other has a larger slip yoke (also auto trans application)measures about 2.2 in diameter. I ordered tail shaft bushing for mine twice because they sent me one for lhd and it was way to small. I dont know if all diesel applications use the dhd. Anyway the 241 dhd holds 3 1/2 to 4 quarts.
