Switch Auto Tranny to Manual???

Is it possible to switch my automatic tranny to a manual tranny? I know it is a big job and costs lots, but I miss Stick shift and love my truck( Won't trade for a manual ). Any comments? Price of job??? side effects after done?<br><br>

I have the time, but am saving for other more important things. Like a house..... LOL<br><br>That is why I need to think about it. I really miss manual tranny. <br><br><br>Another possibility is a &quot;TransGo shift kit&quot;<br><br>Does anyone know anything about this?

The price of changing from Auto to Stick would be about the same as a nice house on an acreage... . It is much easier to change from a stick to an auto.

A full blown DTT, as said by BigBlackDodge, would be a small fraction of the cost of the change-over. You could use it like a stick if you got the itch...just watch out for the clutch!!!
