i have a 2001 dodge 4x4 that has 3 lugs on the right front that have stripped in the hub and i can not get the wheel off . the wheels are brand new and i dont want to ruin the wheel. does anyone know how to get the wheel off. i have tried to take the rotor hub and caliper off all together but it will not come off like that.

 

I would drill them out. If you drill the stud out of the nut you shouldn't hurt the wheel at all.

 

10" pipe wrench with the handle draped in a clean rag....thats how i got mine off

kinda hard to justify for a one-time job though

 

use an impact socket that is slightly smaller and hammer it on. has worked many times for me.

 

So does the lug nut spin but not come off the bolt? If that is the case you need a nut splitter. It will split the lug nut and not touch the bolt. You will need a big one.
