My steering box on my 1999 is leaking at the output shaft, im picking up new seals tomorrow. Has anyone ever changed these seals? How hard is the job?

Haven't looked at one in that yr , they make too many changes to be sure that it is like others , it should be not too bad , but its hard to answer about your skills & tools .
You may want to do a search for a steering stabilizer , about 3 brands , I have a Solid Steel brand , after fixing this will help a lot to keep bearing / seals last longer .

 

mines at the dealer right now getting a new box installed under warranty. shouldn't be that hard. might need a special seal tool to install it
