I have a 2000 Ram 3500 with a Cummins and a 6 speed, it has quit starting with the key switch, if I jump the solenoid terminal to the battery the starter runs and starts the engine. What should I look for to correct this issue?
Thanking you all in advance for your advice,

David

I would think the ignition switch itself might be done... I've had to replace one on a 93 ram before.

Double check the little wire going to the starter and it's connection terminal to the starter. I'd also ck this wire for (+) when in crank mode. If no power, I'd back track to the fuse box under the hood...tracking things back to the ing switch. Good luck!
