squeak

what is really the squeak noise when you shut down the engine and is there a way to make it stop? my truck use to always do this and now i noticed that it sometimes doesnt is there a way to make it quit all together?

It's the high compression of the engine when it suddenly stops causing the serpentine belt to slip some. More noticeable when everything is good and hot. it's not necessarily a need to replace the belt, just check it for wear and replace if necessary.

I found that a dual disc clutch stopped the squeek.

I havent noticed my truck squeak in months. it must be due to the new serp belt that had to go on to pass inspection
