# of splines?
Thanks. Would you know if I were to replace the axles with 35 spline inners, if the spider gears could be replaced with 35 spline without removing the differential and ring gear?
I have been saving to start the front axle rebuild. My concern is since I'm disabiled it takes me a lot of time to complete any project. I need to do the most important first. My truck has 99000 miles on it. The cad no longer works. Since that happened I wanted to replace the axles, but my concern is the unit bearings. I can live without 4 wheel drive for awhile, if needed.
It would be nice to do the axles, power-lok diff, and manual hubs since everything is apart. I wanted to use Dynatrac for the axles and hub kit, but the axle kit is exspensive compared to the EMS axle kit. The EMS only replaces the two piece axles with one that has been turned down to fit the 32 spline spider gears. The Dynatrac replaces both sides with 35 spline axles. I can afford the EMS axle kit and the Dynatrac hub kit now, or save a bit longer for the 35 spline axles. The power- lok will have to wait until later.
Do you think the EMS turned axle would be strong enough to handle the power-lok diff? Do you have any suggestions? Thanks for the help. Ron
