I believe that it can be reprogrammed for a couple of different tire sizes via a dealer who is cooperative. Alternatively you can get an electronic ratio adapter from Abbott or Truspeed and do your own correction. I use the Abbott and its worked great for going on 3 years.
DC has changed this quite a few times in the last few years. I know in the mid/late 90's you could either choose the stock tires from the menu or select "other" and you would have to put in the revs per mile. Only catch was the only revs they gave us were ones that would match the stock tires. After reading a few posts here I played around with a customer truck the other day (can't remember the exact year, think 01). Besides the stock tire sizes you could enter the revs per mile, but before you could enter it, it also asked for number of tone wheel teeth. You can't find this out through parts so the only way would be to pull the rear cover. They don't send us to training on how to fix modified trucks so my investigating stopped there.
hmmm I wonder if that would work for me , walk in and set to revs per mile, getting tough to remember why at 70 mph indicated i am one of the fastest on the road.... not good if ya don't want tickets around here. 70 corrects to around 76 mph and that will get you noticed!
