Sound Normal
Sound Normal
Well, I was wanting to know if these numbers sound good to you guys. When pulling my 30ft Coachman 5th Wheel 10,000lbs on level ground no wind in 5th gear at 65mph 2000rpm my EGT Temp run 1075 degree, with 8 turbo boost and oil temp at 197 degree Mobil Oil 15w-40w. I came back from Wilson Lake in Kansas today it was 94 degrees outside. Just wanted to see if these numbers sounded normal to you guys. Just got gauges for the ole dodge. I have a power puck, and BHAF and a torque tube AFE. Just last week I returned from Breckenridge Co, pulled good all the way out, I didnt have my gauges then so I had to unhook the power puck. My only worry was when I got to my rv site the turbo had a strange color to it like someone dumped oil on the one side of it as if it got hot. I dont think I cooked it because the truck was stock all except the the BHAF and Torque Tube.
Yep, sounds good to me. I have an automatic and see similar when towing 9,500lbs. The turbo will handle a more than 1075 degrees. I do not have my alarms on my EGT set until 1250 degrees. 8 PSI on the boost at the speed and RPM seems low, or it was not working that hard......
