So what all do I have to do and how much will it cost me to fix it? If it is not one thing it is another. Whats the easiest fix for this. has anybody else had this problem?

Automatic Trans? Look in your trans pan for metal and crap. Probably in your valvebody too.

yea it is auto trans. What i am going to do is change the fluid and the filter and at that time i'll check everything. I am hoping a simple fluid change helps.

Sounds like one of the clutches is going out. Autos have a series of these. Does it only do it in 2nd gear?

I'll ask a dumb question but when is the last time you serviced it? I had a ford f-150 that did that same stuff. i thought the worst. But, changed the fluid and filter and that fixed it.

I'd suggest while you're changing the oil to adjust the bands also. These trannys are very picky about band adjustment. I just did mine and now it shifts great...

Well the last time i changed the fluid on the tranny was back in June 5, 2006 at 124,174 miles. Now i did not change the filter all they did for me was flush it and fill it with the new fluid and also added the Lucas tranny additive. Before that fluid change i changed it back in Nov. 20 2004 and that time i changed the filter i had 92,000 miles then. I have 145,562 miles now.

You are overdue man. I think that may fix your problem. If the filter was not changed that is the real factor. I always said changing the fluid without the filter is like taking a bath and putting your dirty drawers on again. Change the filter and fluid. I bet that will fix you up. If not, it will certainly not hurt. Plus, you will be able to eliminate that from the possibilites.

I can tell you this, if you don't change it, the symptoms WILL get worse reguardless.
