Slow to start after long trip

Just got back from a 4 wheeling trip to Telleco. This was my first time pulling with the diesel(its a 01 3500 5 speed) and it did great. The only thing I didnt like was when we stopped for a break on the way there or back the truck would not start right up like it normally does. It would turn over a couple times before starting. It ran great other than that. Is this normal? Thanks

normal for a heat soaked vp on its way out. clasisc injection pump failing signal. to test it out u could pour a little cold water over the vp after a shut down, if she fires right up then u know u are on borrowed time.. u do risk cracking things by doing this so beware.
