Hate it for ya, but I'm glad I'm not the only one. After reading all the posts, I thought it would be a simple one handed operation. I got in there and was surprised how tight it was in there. A few deep breaths and a well placed screwdriver popped it out.

I took mine out this morning. It took about 35 sec.'s Ok that's 35sec's on the 2nd try. I tried the screwdriver thing and saw that that wasn't gettin it done. I then grabbed a very small pair of side cutters. I put the inside jaw of the side cutter behind the ring as I pushed down on the side cutter I twisted it so the bottom of the side cutter raised the snap ring out of the slot. Now the nice part of this method, the ring goes up and out all at the same time so it doesn't keep dropping back into the slot. As far as getting the ring into a better position just make sure when your trying to slide the ring your not digging into the housing of the turbo. Take a screw driver and just snag the top of the ring and she should right around for ya.
Good Luck
