shifting early

Everything works great with my tranny except the shift from 1-2. It happens to soon IMO. on light throttle it shifts at about 5mph. I had all of the pressures checked and they were fine. the Cable is adjusted correctly and 2-3, 3-4 shifts happen exactly when they should.

Is it normal for a 24v to shift that early?

apparently my pressures are too high at idle...right around 90 lbs which is causing the 1-2 shift to happen to early (since it runs that pressure at a higher rpm when stock) Seems the fix is just to install a stiffer spring for that shift. Thanks to Dave at Goerends for helping figure it out and having the monster spring I need

oh btw this is all the result of using the Transgo shift kit. Dave told me he likes to run his pressures at about 60lbs at idle where this kit is designed to run 90 lbs. I guess the high pressure is good for clutches and what not but the early shift really brings the motor down when towing.
