If you use a high quality oil, it shouldn't be necessary.
I'd also be a little leery of adding a foreign chemical into a proven oil manufacturer's additive package.
None in my truck, I just fill 'er up with Valvoline "Blue".

I would be very leery about any additives that claim to be "the latest technology" or anything like that. Just go to Cummins and you can buy all the Premium Blue you want. Then you know that it IS Cummins approved.

besides if we only did what was necessary to our trucks,we wouldn`t have a need for four inch exhaust, bigger turbo`s edge products, piers, bullydog, bigger injectors better clutches
stronger transmissions, and what ever else we don`t NEED
I understand what you are saying John, but a good friend of mine put some of that stuff that claimed you didn't need oil and even hit the valve train with a fire hose. I can't for the life of me remember what the stuff was called. Anyhow, about 6 months later (yes, he did keep it full of oil) his engine started running real crappy and he wound up replacing the motor. Turned out that every cylinder was scored, rod and mains were into the copper, and the cam was also showing signs of wear. All this in about 80k miles (Ford four banger). He is one that does take care of his vehicles too. Now you know why I don't like the stuff.
