Motor started to miss bad pulled over and heard what sounds like a bad rod knock 01 with 130000 miles checked has good oil pressure, all original pumps and injectors any ideas

 

Injector is not firing. Seen it happen on a friends truck. Thought his main brg was out but all it ended up being was a bad injector.

 

with truck running crack each injector to help pinpoint which cyl is making the noise, use caution as fuel is injected at high pressure(gloves and safety goggles)

 

were you pulling a load how were EGTs, is it modified ?need more info .had a guy tell me the same thing last month . found #1 melted out .and wiped out the cylinder. just could use a little more info

 

same here got too hot due a bad reading egt gauge. ex/valve kissed piston. which scraped cyl wall. which made me due a complete rebuild.. do you know any one with a scope. try the injector kill with fuel and cracking the lines. but if it is that bad of a sound may not want to run it much, pull the injectors and scope. do you have any codes?
bad fuel. could pull your injectors not sure if you have a bad tip.
