Replacing brake master cylinder on 99 3500?
Replacing brake master cylinder on 99 3500?
Any surprises when I replace my brake master cylinder I should be aware of?
I had 2 lines rust through and I replaced them. When I finished, both front brakes were dragging. I tested them by cracking the bleeder open at the caliper and they released...so I thought. So, I replaced both rubber lines and calipers. Took it a drive and it seemed fine. It set for 2 weeks and I drove it tonight.
6 miles down the road I could tell the truck was laboring. Stopped and found both front brakes dragging. This time I cracked the line at the master cylinder and they released some.
This tells me it's the master cylinder. Just wanting to make sure there are no surprises when I replace it.
Thanks,
Dave
