Replacement Fuel Filter Cap w/ Fuel Pressure Port

I need to add a fuel pressure gauge to a 2001.5. Unlike my ’99, there are no ports on the fuel filter housing. I was looking at Geno’s site and noticed this metal replacement cap for 2000-2002 trucks that adds a port for just this purpose. Any thoughts on installing a gauge this way?

Thanks

Ron

Should be an ok way of doing it, the only thing is with this cap it measures fuel pressure prefilter. Most guys want post filter. You can order a tapped bonjo bolt from Genos and take the fuel pressure off the bottom of the filter. $4.50 rather than the $60 for the cap.

The setup should look something like Moose10's:

Hope that helps.

Thanks Dr. Evil

Was it difficult to install the banjo bolt below the filter? It looks like a clean set-up.
