look at your owner's manual.. I think SAE 90. 80W90 or try synthetic in 75W90 or 75W140 or 85W140. 140 only if you tow or abuse alot..

I have an 01, and just did it with Royal Purple gear lube. I think it was called Gear max.

There's usually be a tag somewhere on the pig or bolted onto the rear cover that says what was in it. You can usually tell by the smell, 80w-90 reaks a whole lot worse than synthetic does, if you're around it enough you can tell right away by the smell. As long as you clean it all out good it's not a big deal what you put in it, IMO. Only problem I've come across is if ya mix synthetic with 80w-90, tends to foam up bad.

Quick question, how can I tell if I have an LSD, other than doing a burnout? I'm changing diff fluids soon and need to know if I should get a friction modifier as well.

Under your hood, there is a small piece of paper with a build sheet of sorts, it'll tell you.

Jack up one rear wheel and try to spin it with the tranny in neutral. If it turns easily you have an open dif. A good limited slip will keep it from turning.

The tag in the glovebox will tell you too. I used 75-140.
