Rear-end input shaft seal
Another topic for my '99 3500 CTD.
I'll be replacing the input shaft seal on the rear-end of my dually. It's dripping about 2-3 drips per day on the driveway.
- is there anything that I should know before I get started?
- are the threads on the yoke bolt right-hand or left-hand threads?
- What tension should I re-torque the yoke bolt?
I was quoted $150 at the dealer for the job, and I believe it's not too hard to do myself, with some input from someone who has already done it themselves....
Anything would be appriciated,
Thanks

Your seal is doing pretty good to last this long. Mine went at about 14k miles. Dealer replaced seal under warranty. Its been dry since.
