Rear disk brakes

Hello all!!

I was wondering if anyone has done a rear disk brake conversion on their truck? I know that mid year of 2001 Dodge began putting rear disk brakes on the Ram and I want to go with rear disks. I need to do brakes soon and think this is the time to convert. Google has not returned much info, I have found a JY that has a diff for $1500 but if I can just get the necessary hardware and do it I would rather go that way.

I'm not trying to turn you away from doing the conversion, but have you thought of just adding a exhaust brake instead. I don't even use my service brakes while towing 15k# through mountain roads. Before adding the brake, a set of pads would only last me 15k miles. I have not changed my brakes now for 30k & counting. Just my $.02
