Right rear caliper dragging/sticking.
Not a biggie to replace, BUT there ain't none out there at the warehouses.
Does anyone know of any rear brake issues that would create this possible shortage? Sure would hate to go to the dealer if I don't have to.

You try lubing the slider pins? If they get dry the calipers with stick.

 

I just replaced a left rear on my truck last week. I too was having it drag a bit. I had everything all apart last fall before the winter weather set in and cleaned and lubed. I took it a part and cleaned everything and re-lubed it again but to no cure.
I called Napa and they thought they could get one over night but as it turned out it took from Monday to Friday morning before they got it. The funny thing was they had a front when I needed it last fall and the recore charge was like $90 bucks. On the rear it was only $20. Even the guy said that it was odd to be so cheep. Maybe our trucks, 2001.5 and 2002's are the only ones to have that caliper and that is making them a bit rare. I don't know..By the way I live in Canada and the caliper with hardware was about $160.00 + taxes. Napa..
