Quick question -- Need HELP

HELP! I’m in the process of replacing my VP44 and peening the KDP guide hole and I’m having a heck of a time removing the fan. From the front of the engine bay (facing the front of the engine) which direction does the 36mm fan nut have to be turned for removal (CW or CCW)? I realize that the threads are left hand but I’ve never removed the fan before, so I’m not sure of the orientation of the nut.

Your help is greatly appreciated,
Bill

I've never removed my fan so I honestly don't know. You indicated that "the threads are left hand" -- through all my years working in a auto body shop, "left handed" threads mean you turn the nut CCW to tighten and CW to remove (the oposite of "right handed" threads). Hopefully you get someone who has actually removed a fan to confirm which direction you need to go...

This link might help: http://dodgeram.org/tech/dsl/cooling-sys/fan_RR.htm

Turn the nut clockwise to remove it...

Turn the nut the same direction the crank turns. Big pliers on the pully hub and a wrench on the nut always works well for me.
