Question? New Diesel owner
03 Dodge 5.9L HO Cummins with 50K miles. Engine has been quite until lately and now I notice a more pronounced rattle from the engine. Sounds like Gas engine with loose valve. The dealer said there should be no problem and that it is normal when the engine reaches 50K miles or more to make more noise. The rack does not need checked until 130K miles per the manual.
It is no louder than some Diesel engines but has gotten louder as the engine breaks in so I am a little concerned.
Is this normal for the Dodge 5.9L HO engine?
