New Diesel Owner - dumb/easy oil question
I've always changed my oil every 3,000 (on every vehicle I've owned). On my new 2500 it specifies that the oil changes should be about every 3750 miles. And the dealer told me to change it between 3k and 6k depending on how I drove it...thoughts? What do experienced owners do?

The 3rd gen's (2003-2006) have quite different recomendations than the 24 valve's (1998.5-2002)

"normal" Personally, I don't use the odometer to govern the oil change....I use the hour meter just like I do on my trusty diesel tractor.... every 100 hours oil & filter change along with the fuel filter.
