i hooked up my new quad. about a week ago and about 4 days after trans. started having problems, now it is at the dealership. could the quad caused the problem or was just time for the trans to go it has a 160,000 on it,they say the torque conventer maybe bad.truck shakes when taking off, and slipping in gear.

 

The quad's not really the problem, it's your stock transmission. I wouldn't pay that much money to have them replace with another stock tranmission, spend the money on atleast an upgraded torque converter and valve body.

 

I just had the same problem on Friday, Trans just lost all power and slipping and bucking of the line. Dropped the pan and talked to my trans. guy and he said change the filter and fluid and go. Works great (fluid not burnt) I learned that as the temp goes up and with enough debris the filter will clamp shut (no flow) until it cools down, then it will work fine until it gets hot again and quite.
